Power Tackle Rods aren’t just “Made in America,” they’re “MADE IN TEXAS!”  We put our whole hearts and our love of fishing and this great sport into every one of our Texas-made fishing rods. Texas has a reputation for having the biggest and best, including our world-class bass fishing lakes.  What then goes into real Texas-made fishing rods? For Power Tackle Rods, it’s the professional know-how that comes from fishing all over the state of Texas.

11 years ago, Power Tackle started turning out custom bass rods using the blanks that have evolved over the years.  These rods have been manufactured and tested over the last decade with invaluable guidance from knowledgeable and experienced pros—and, dare we say it—some of the best Texas fishermen ever.

Long-time tournament pros including Tim Reneau, Phil Marks, Keith Combs and Ray Hanselman as well as many other “hammers” have wielded Power Tackle in pursuit of tournament wins across Texas.  We have been evolving in the rod manufacturing business as far back as when Falcon Lake and Lake Amistad were rated as the #1 lakes in the entire country.

As we continue to grow, the #1 lake in the country still remains in Texas: Lake Sam Rayburn!  The Power Tackle wins on these great Texas lakes and many others are very impressive, and represent the realization of our goal as a business: to make great products that withstand the rigors of tournament fishing and the performance demands of the most skilled anglers.

Power Tackle Rods are real Texas-made fishing rods for and by real Texas fishermen!

Each of our products is hand-crafted one at a time with each fisherman it’s destined for in mind.  Power Tackle Rods are fully customizable, from custom thread colors for guide wraps to the inclusion of a company logo or the angler’s name.  We will even cut down a handle to your specified length.
